The Corniche Kennedy or Corniche du Président John-Fitzgerald Kennedy is a seaside boulevard in Marseille and a tourist road that runs along the Mediterranean Sea for about 3.7 km, from the Catalans beach to the Prado beaches.
Like the Promenade des Anglais in Nice or the Croisette in Cannes, it offers one of the most beautiful seaside landscapes in Marseille on the Mediterranean Sea and the Frioul islands. All along it, beaches, boats and fishermen’s shacks, houses with a view of the sea, 19th century villas (Villa Valmer, Villa de Gaby Deslys…), hotels, bars and seaside restaurants follow one another.
The Corniche Kennedy runs along the seaward side of the longest concrete bank in the world, for almost 3 km.
